PANDORA missions are not built from a free-text PANDAX prompt like campaigns. Instead, missions can be imported from your EVE Online Freelance Jobs and then tracked, displayed, and managed through PANDORA.

Create the Freelance Job in EVE, enable tracking in your PANDORA settings, and PANDORA will import and refresh it every 5 minutes.

Important: Combat or FW plexing Freelance Jobs with 50 or more kills / plexes are imported as campaigns, not missions.

HOW THIS WORKS
1
Create the Freelance Job in EVE
Set up your delivery, capsuleer-kill, or NPC-kill job in EVE Online first.
2
Enable tracking in PANDORA settings
If you have enabled tracking for your created Freelance Jobs, PANDORA will look for them automatically.
3
PANDORA imports and enriches it
The import service checks approximately every 5 minutes, bringing in new jobs and refreshing progress, contributors, and rewards. PANDAX also takes the original in-game Freelance Job description and enriches it for the imported PANDORA mission version, expanding the brief into a richer mission page presentation.

Important: Combat or FW plexing Freelance Jobs with 50 or more kills / plexes set as the target (or an unlimited target) are imported as campaigns instead of missions.
4
Use the mission page as the live status panel
Once imported, the mission page shows objectives, enriched briefing, progress, contributor leaderboard, involvement, reward state, and any extra PANDORA rewards added around the mission.
Missions are operational imports. This page explains the workflow rather than generating a mission from text.

Mission Import Guide

This guide explains how missions appear in PANDORA and how imported Freelance Jobs are tracked. Unlike campaigns, missions are not created by typing a prompt into PANDAX. They are usually created in EVE Online first and then imported into PANDORA.

When a Freelance Job is imported, PANDAX takes the original in-game description and enriches it for the PANDORA mission version. So the imported mission does not remain a flat mirror of the in-game text — it becomes a fuller operational brief inside PANDORA.

If you have enabled tracking for your created Freelance Jobs in PANDORA settings, the import/update service checks approximately every 5 minutes.

1) The basics: how mission creation works

Missions in PANDORA are operational units that can be tracked independently. When the mission comes from a Freelance Job, the source mission is created in EVE Online first and then brought into PANDORA.

  • Campaigns are descriptive, generated content from a PANDAX prompt.
  • Missions can be imported from Freelance Jobs and monitored as live operational tasks.

On imported missions, PANDORA marks them as IMPORTED FREELANCE MISSION. This distinguishes them from internally-created PANDORA mission records.

2) How Freelance Job importing works

If the user has enabled tracking of their created Freelance Jobs in PANDORA settings, the import service checks for new and updated jobs every 5 minutes.

Important: Combat or FW plexing Freelance Jobs with 50 or more kills / plexes are imported as campaigns, not missions. Combat or FW plexing jobs below 50 are imported as missions.

  1. Create the Freelance Job in EVE Online.
  2. Make sure your PANDORA settings allow created jobs to be tracked.
  3. PANDORA sees the job on the next import cycle.
  4. The job is imported as a mission.
  5. PANDORA continues refreshing mission progress, contributors, and mission state on later cycles.

This means the mission page in PANDORA is effectively the mission’s live operational mirror: it becomes the place to watch progress, see who is involved, and manage related rewards.

If tracking is not enabled in settings, the mission will not be automatically imported from your Freelance Jobs.

3) How PANDAX enriches imported mission briefs

Imported missions are not intended to be a plain copy-and-paste of the original in-game Freelance Job text. When PANDORA imports the job, PANDAX uses the original description as source material and enriches it for the PANDORA mission page.

That means the imported PANDORA version can present the mission in a fuller and more atmospheric way, turning the original job text into something closer to an operational brief.

  • the original job description remains the foundation
  • PANDAX expands the wording into a stronger mission brief
  • the imported mission page feels more like a live PANDORA mission than a raw game export
  • the enriched description then sits alongside objectives, progress, contributors, and rewards

So the import process has two parts:

  1. FreelanceJobImportService brings the job into PANDORA and keeps its state updated
  2. PANDAX enriches the mission description for the imported PANDORA presentation

4) Additional rewards in PANDORA

Imported Freelance Jobs are not limited to only the reward structure defined in-game. Once the mission exists inside PANDORA, additional rewards can be added to that mission in PANDORA.

This is useful if you want the in-game Freelance Job to act as the source mission, but you also want:

  • extra incentives for PANDORA users
  • additional recognition prizes
  • separate standings or reward handling through PANDORA
  • manual or structured reward issuance alongside the imported mission

In other words, the Freelance Job can be the operational source, while PANDORA adds another layer of mission rewards and recognition around it.

5) Recommended in-game description text

If you intend the imported mission to be discovered and used through PANDORA as well, it can be worth mentioning that directly in the in-game Freelance Job description.

For example, you could add:

**This mission can be found in the PANDORA missions listing at https://www.evepandora.com/missions

This is especially useful if:

  • you plan to add extra rewards in PANDORA
  • you want players to find the richer imported mission page
  • you want participants to follow mission progress and standings in PANDORA

Important: the ** and any text after it will be ignored by PANDAX during import. That makes it a useful place to leave import-safe notes, links, or PANDORA references in the in-game description without affecting the enriched imported mission brief.

6) Imported mission types

Based on the current mission page logic, imported Freelance Jobs are handled through mission type displays such as:

DeliverItem

These missions are shown as delivery objectives with the required item, amount, and destination location.

  • Example: deliver a required quantity of a named item to a named location.

KillCapsuleer

These missions are shown as capsuleer hunting objectives. If specific target pilots are attached, the mission page lists them directly.

  • Example: seek out and destroy vessels piloted by named targets.

KillNPC

These missions are displayed as non-capsuleer kill objectives, with optional region, constellation, or system restrictions.

  • Example: kill non-capsuleers in a specified location set.

7) Progress reports and mission updates

Imported missions use live progress values to show how close the mission is to completion. PANDORA tracks values such as:

  • progress_current
  • progress_desired
  • percentage complete

The mission page can therefore show:

  • objective progress bars
  • current vs target values
  • active / upcoming / ended state
  • refresh timer while the mission remains live

As the import service refreshes the mission, the mission page and leaderboard update to reflect the latest known job state.

8) Involvement and leaderboard tracking

Imported missions do not just show a mission brief. They also track who is involved and how much they have contributed.

On the mission page, the leaderboard and involvement displays can show:

  • how many people are involved
  • whether you are involved
  • your contribution ranking
  • contribution amount
  • percentage of the required total
  • affiliations such as corporation and alliance

Depending on mission state and reward rules, the page may also indicate that a pilot:

  • has enlisted
  • has excluded themselves
  • did not meet minimum participation
  • can or cannot take part

9) Rewards and issuing state

PANDORA can show both imported mission reward value and PANDORA-managed reward handling around the mission.

  • current reward state while the mission is active or still settling
  • final reward state once the mission is finalised
  • issued / not issued status where relevant
  • additional PANDORA rewards layered on top of the imported mission

This makes the mission page more than a summary page — it becomes a reward and contribution control panel for the mission.

10) Profiles, monthly reports, stories, and history

Imported missions do not only exist as isolated task pages. They are also collected by PANDAX and can contribute to the wider PANDORA universe in the same way campaigns do.

That means imported missions can feed into:

  • profiles
  • monthly PANDORA news reports
  • background stories
  • historical entries

In practical terms, imported missions can become part of the ongoing record of what has happened, who was involved, what operations took place, and how those events fit into the wider developing story around characters, corporations, alliances, factions, and PANDORA itself.

11) Important notes and restrictions

Imported missions can also show important operational notes such as:

  • broadcast locations from the original freelance job
  • special notes attached to the mission
  • age restrictions
  • participation restrictions
  • whether the mission is against you / counterable

For some mission families, PANDORA also checks whether related player tracking is enabled where required.

12) Recommended workflow

  1. Enable created Freelance Job tracking in your PANDORA settings.
  2. Create the job in EVE Online.
  3. If useful, add a PANDORA note in the in-game description after **.
  4. Wait for the next 5-minute import cycle.
  5. Open the imported mission in PANDORA.
  6. Review the enriched mission brief, objective, progress, and contributors.
  7. Add any extra PANDORA rewards if you want mission rewards beyond the in-game job.
  8. Use the mission page to manage participation and rewards.
