Reward Claim Fix and Changes
A fix has been implemented to the Claim Rewards on the Home Page. It had been reported that some campaigns in the list of campaigns to claim rewards on had an incorrect link - resulting in loading an incorrect URL. This has now been fixed.
The campaign page itself will now give the user a clear message that they have successfully made a claim AND that their reward has not yet been issued. It also now gives clear steps to take for SHIP + FIT type rewards.
This coming week, we will be implementing further changes to speed up different areas of the website as well as improving DISCORD BOT functionality.

ESI failsafe implementation & UI tweaks
Last night, the ESI API experienced major issues causing a number of websites and applications to fall over. One of these websites was evepandora.com.
Today we have been implementing and deploying failsafes on the website to allow for pages to still load even if the ESI does not give the required response to any of the website requests - in particular the character API where most of the issues are currently ongoing at ESI at the time of this post.
The navigation menu should now clearly state if there is an issue with the ESI API if it is unable to correctly load your user. This will also mean that certain areas of the website will not be accessible - this includes claiming rewards, accepting missions, issuing rewards and all content creation (campaigns, mission, news, historical entries, after action reports and more).
We are far from finished with adding these failsafes - if evepandora.com crashes while you are using it, please post the issue on our discord in the #website-issues channel.
A tiny map icon now exists on all missions and campaigns listings which you can move your mouse over to highlight where a campaign is taking place or where a supply mission requires delivery to.
We are also looking at adding a feature to these listings to allow users to see who a campaign is against or what the requirements are for a mission.
These tweaks are based on user recommendations and are aimed at giving the user an insight into a campaign or mission before they go to view it.

SHIP + FIT Reward types. Major BOT implementation
We have now made clear guidelines on how to add a SHIP + FIT item reward types when creating a campaign. The member who qualifies for a SHIP + FIT reward will be notified of the steps they need to take when making their reward claim. This includes visiting the Shifting Suns Discord and heading into the pandora-claim channel where the user will need to issue a bot command as mentioned in the rewards claim.
The evepandora BOT has been expanded to handle the reward claim at this point to confirm that they can make a reward claim of this type with Shifting Suns and will recognise if this reward is in process or has been completed in order to prevent multiple claims of the same reward on the same campaign with a unique ID for that user and that campaign.
The user must also be authenticated with the evepandora BOT - the steps of which will be given by the BOT if they have not been authenticated when making a claim.

Reward Claim Access Improvements - Part 2
Following on from our Claim Access improvements that we posted earlier, we have now made some further changes.
The shortcut button on the Home Page notifying you that you have rewards to claim (found in the Administration section) will now display a window showing all of the campaigns that you have rewards to claim on.
Clicking any of these will take you directly to the campaign where you can claim your reward.

Reward Claim Access Improvements - Part 1
One of the main issues we have noticed when it comes to claiming rewards is being able to find the campaign that has rewards waiting for you to claim.
Current behaviour sees users clicking on the blinking red button on the home page, notifying the user that they have rewards waiting. Clicking this takes the user to the Campaigns Listing page - which shows blinking text to notify the user to click to see expired campaigns which have rewards to claim. However, this results in all Expired campaigns being loaded, which overtime can mean that the campaign stating that the user has rewards to claim can be lost in one long list.
Changes have now been made so that clicking the notification on the Listing page will now ONLY load the campaigns which you have rewards to claim on while the Expired campaigns is kept as its own separate list.

Campaign Claims Bug Fix Deployed
Happy New Year and wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2022!
A bug came to our attention earlier today that claiming rewards would not remove the claim button on some campaigns where only standing gains are issued upon a claim (no isk or item rewards have been unlocked for the campaign, but kills or other by the member count on the campaign in certain settings meaning their participation should be recognised by issuing standings). Claiming should now successfully remove the claim button on the campaign and give you standings to the associate entities on that campaign.
The home page will also now correctly notify you in the Administration section if you have rewards to claim on an ended campaign with a blinking red button.
We have also released a bug fix earlier today where some Biography sections on character pages were showing incorrectly formatted text.

Campaigns Page Speed Imrovements
This week we have been looking at ways to improve the overall speed of the website in a number of areas. One area where we discovered major page load speed issues were on certain campaigns where the number of members involved and the number of kills were possibly in the several hundreds and thousands.
We have just released changes to over 2500 lines of code which is used to load campaign pages and believe this has seen an improvement of at least 20x the speed of the previous load time for campaigns.
We will be continuing to make speed improvements over the next couple of days across the entire site prior to launching a new batch of campaigns.

Home Page User Fix
We have implemented a fix to the home page where some users were reporting needing to login on a revisit to the website.
It should now remember who you logged in as on your previous visit.

Fixes and Changes implemented
Following our live release a couple of days ago, some minor user errors have been reported and quick fixed. This included some users having alignment issues on the home page, ensuring that all isk rewards in campaigns have the comma separator to make them more readable and standings sometimes not showing on their available campaigns.
A major bug fix has also just been deployed which was sometimes causing campaign pages to error if the user was viewing a campaign but had not logged in.
We have also added 'Other Campaigns' to the home page which are campaigns not in the 'Campaigns For You' and 'Campaigns Against You' lists. If the user is not logged in, this section is labelled as 'Active / Upcoming Campaigns'.

Server Transfer Completed
We have successfully completed the transfer of evepandora.com to a new server.
Tomorrow, we will be ironing out any missing files from the carry-over and any other issues that we may find.
After this, come 1st December, we are effectively out of Beta :)

Countdown to LIVE Release
We will be migrating the website over to an upgraded server starting from tomorrow. This will mean some downtime of the website for a possible maximum of 24 hours or more while we move the full codebase over and switch over the domain.
We're fully hoping to have the full LIVE release and the end of BETA to happen by the 1st of December and will be running advertising campaigns on the forums and ingame.

We have deployed some changes to the home page to give a much cleaner and clearer user experience. The content on the Homepage has now been split into four clear sections as follows:
Containing quick access buttons to create content such as campaigns and missions, quick navigation to your profile, corporation and alliance pages and quick navigation buttons for reward claims and rewards due to other. Pandora Content ad Pandora Dev News are also found in this column.

Final Beta Phase 4 Has Arrived
We made it! We are now in the final Phase of Beta!.
During Beta Final Phase 4, we will be mostly making UI and cosmetic changes to several areas including mobile. we will also be improving call speeds of data processes. This period will last a maximum of two weeks prior server upgrades and public release.
We will also be making campaigns and missions on the listings pages filterable by standings towards the user.
Users will also be able to create certain campaigns at the click of a button or with minimal input such as weekly or monthly campaigns for alliances and corporations to recognise top killers during a set period.
We have also implemented the following in the latest deployment following user feedback:
1. Add the ability to create a package order, listing a total of 10 items, each with their own entered amounts and each with individually entered prices, a total entered price or the latest JITA buy prices if left empty..
2. Add the option to stop auto-regenerating a Supply Mission once x number of times that mission has been accepted has been reached.
3. Add bonus ISK for reason which user can place in description (risk, fast delivery etc)
HOME PAGE UI
1. Added an Administration shortcut to the Campaigns and Missions listing page.
2. Campaigns listed changed from "Available Campaigns" to "Campaigns For You" which now ONLY show campaigns that the logged in user can take part in. All other campaigns can be viewed on the campaigns listings page.
3. Moved "ACTIVE MISSIONS" to above "AVAILABLE MISSIONS" to make it easier for user to see which missions they are running.
4. "AVAILABLE MISSIONS" listings will now only show the 5 most recently created. All others can be accessed via the SEE MORE button in this section.

Campaign Changes and Fixes. Final Beta Phase 4 Incomming.
We have deployed a few changes to combat campaigns and FW O-Plex / D-Plex campaigns as follows:
- Added the option for the creator to have a capped isk reward total per member.
- Added the option for the creator to have a capped isk total isk reward for the campaign overall, the total amount to be rewarded to each member based on the % of their kills or points based on the total kills or total points.
- Added the option to add a pilot to a campaign as a "MUST BE WITH" option. Selecting a pilot can mean that kills only count if that pilot was on the killmail. Good for recognising those in a fleet with kills alongside a Fleet Commander as an example.
- Added the option to add an alliance to a campaign as a "MUST BE WITH" option. Selecting an alliance can mean that kills only count if the killmail included a member for your chosen alliance. Good for encouraging campaigns to assist an alliance at war, embedding members into their fleets.
- Added the option to add a corporation to a campaign as a "MUST BE WITH" option. Selecting a corporation can mean that kills only count if the killmail included a member from your chosen corporation. Good for encouraging campaigns to assist a corporation at war, embedding members into their fleets.
Work is now being done on Supply Mission changes which will be completed this weekend. After which we step into Final Beta Phase 4 of 4.

Standings View fully implemented
We have fully implented capsuleer standings.
These can now be viewed on your capsuleer standings page. Simply follow these steps:
On your capsuleer page, select View Statistics from the capsuleer menu. This will show two Statistics options:
- "Standings From" are entities who this capsuleer has been working for or against.
- "Standings Towards" shows entities who have undertaken campaigns or missions for the capsuleer and their standngs for doing so.
You can find out your character page in the Evapandora Discord channels, simply type ?character your_character_name (ie ?character evepandora).

Implementing Switch User Fix
We are currently implementing a code fix for a reported bug where switching user keeps you on your previous logged in account on a campaign, meaning users are unable to claim a reward due to it not switching the campaign to your new login.
This fix involves several code deployment tests against the LIVE environment and may disrupt your user experience on the website for the next couple of hours.

We have deployed a fix for the Claim Error bug which we reported earlier.
All users will need to login from scratch (even if you show as logged in) to override your user state on the site.
We will continue to monitor user navigation logs for any possible issues related to this bug.

Claim Error reported
We have had several reports of users being unable to claim their rewards on campaigns OR that they have been logged out on visiting the campaign they wish to make a rewards claim on.
We have investigated this and can confirm that this is happening to some users and have discovered it in testing.
We aim to have a fix in place over the coming hours.
To allow us to monitor users with this bug in our Discord Bot channels, please use the :plusone: emoji against this dev blog post. We will monitor those who report in this way so that we can check what happens in the logs during your site navigation.

MAJOR UPDATE - Evepandora is now on mobile
A major update has gone LIVE - evepandora.com can now be run on mobile and tablet.
Previously, users were limited to screens of at least 992 pixels in width, but now you can access evepandora.co on the go.
This is a first mobile release and needs a whole lot of work to look nice, but it's usable which is the main thing!
Updates to mobile will happen over the coming couple of weeks.

UX Improvements: Panel Tilt Effects
Following the User Experience Feedback, we have switched off both the video background and panel movement/tilt effects by default. If the user wishes to have these on, they can use the following buttons up at the top right on the navigation bar.
We are now working on site speed improvements throughout the week along with user video guides for campaign and mission creation.

User Experience Improvements
Over the next 7 days we will be implementing a number of User Experience improvements following feedback. These include as follows:
- The ability to turn of the moving panels on all pages. Several users felt that the tilt on some missions is too extreme. Having a button to switch this off in the same way video can be switched off will be implemented.
- Page speed load improvements. Currently we use a caching mechanism which stored each page in memory after first page load which is needed after each deployment and after any data changes. This can result in some pages taking several seconds to load from our CMS system. All data will be moved into cleaner methods to make data fetching much quicker for each page.

Ability End Campaigns Early implemented
We have now implemented the ability to end a campaign early at the click of a button.
If you have a campaign that you wish to end early, simply goto Agency > Campaigns. If you have campaigns that you created currently running, you will see an >> END CAMPAIGNS EARLY option.
Clicking this will show you a list of your active campaigns, their start and end dates and how many capsuleers have already been involved in that active campaign. Clicking the "END THIS CAMPAIGN NOW" button on any of those campaigns will update that campaign to end at the current date and time evetime.

Assassination Missions implemented
It's been a busy week workwise away from developing evepandora, but finally.....members, with the correct settings (see ingame channel evepandora for setting yourself up), can at last create assassination missions.
As mentioned above, you will need to have the correct ingame title and bio entry [which is described in the evepandora ingame channel] to be able to create campaigns and missions. Assassination missions can now be created and work as follows.
1. Goto the Agency missions listings page and select Create Assassination Mission from your missions admin panel.
2. Set up the mission by selecting your capsuleer target, an isk reward for taking down their ship and/or an isk reward for taking down their capsule.
3. Upon creating the mission, it will become visible for accepting by users. Once accepted, the acceptee will have 7 days to take down the ship and/or the capsule of the intended target. Evepandora will monitor if any of these objectives have been achieved every 3 hours.
4. After 7 days have passed from the mission being accepted, the mission creator will be notified that the mission has come to an end, giving them the option to mark the mission as completed along with the isk reward due if one of the objectives have been achieved OR to mark the mission as failed if none of the objectives have been achieved.
We will also be adding the option to issue item rewards instead of just isk for assassinations.

FINAL BETA: Phase 2 is go!
Phase 2 of the Final Beta is go!
This is the final stage of beta which will last a few weeks comprising of 4 phases, during which a number of campaigns and missions will be made available.
During Beta Final Phase 2, we will be testing the ability for users to add their own campaigns and missions. Phase 1 had an overwhelming number of users and feedback - thank you!
In Phase 2, users with the required access should be able to create campaigns or missions in the campaigns and missions sections of the agency.
In this phase we will also be adding new mission and campaign types for users to generate.
The following mission types are in development and will be released in the coming days:
Assassination: A mission aimed at putting a price on a cupsuleer for the destruction of their ship and/or their capsule.
Escort: A campaign aimed at escorting a party from A - B. Ideal for RP driven content.
As mentioned above - visit the ingame channel evepandora as a central hub for all the latest and to make contact in relation to bugs/issues/ideas.

MAJOR BUG FIX - Claim Rewards
A major bug fix has been implemented.
Users were unable to claim rewards for the Phase 1 campaigns. This should now be possible.
Proceed to login as normal. On the home page, you should get a blinking notification to indicate that you have outstanding rewards - follow this trail to find out which campaigns have rewards waiting for you.

Claim Errors - Possible bug
Multiple users have reported issues with not being able to claim rewards on the 4 Beta Phase 1 campaigns. We believe we may have fixed this. To try again please follow these steps:
Please try again as follows:
1. Login at https://evepandora.com/ - you may need to either click login or switch user to login again if already logged in to reset yourself on the site.
2. Go directly to the url for your campaign:
Reload this page to clear any caching issues or if you show as logged out - it should reload you as logged in.
3. You should see a green claim button. Click this and it will take a while to register your claim and set your standings on the website. DO NOT NAVIGATE AWAY AFTER CLICKING CLAIM - it will load once your claim is registered. You should then see the same page but the claim button should be gone.
If all else fails evemail evepandora (the character) and i will manually make your claim and issue you the isk either tonight or tomorrow.

Bug Fixes + Phase 2 incomming
A major bug fix has been implemented which was causing logged in members to be logged out when viewing the campaigns sections.
Phase 2 will be released tomorrow which will allow for everyone to be able to create their own campaigns and missions. During Phase 2, more missions and campaign types will become available for creation by the user.
To be able to create a missions or a campaign, you MUST have evepandora.com in your ingame BIO.
You will also need either pandora corporation reporter OR pandora corporation admin as a title ingame. These measure are to prevent everyone from being able to create missions or campaigns in an attempt to restrict to leadership and to prevent spam of false missions and campaigns.
A Dev News announcement will be made when Phase 2 of 4 goes live.

Changes to claiming campaign rewards
Changes have been made to claiming rewards on all campaigns which have come into immediate effect.
Members who have qualified for rewards on a campaign will no longer be able to claim their rewards before a campaign actually ends - doing this would allow a member to cash out their rewards value at the time without being able to claim any more rewards between when they cashed out and the campaign end time.
Member will now ONLY be able to claim rewards when a campaign ends, with a 3 day leeway after the campaign end before they cannot claim.
This is so that the campaign creator is presented with all claims after the 3 day leeway ends instead of throughout the campaign.

FINAL BETA: Phase 1 Campaigns launched
We have launched 4 campaigns as part of Final Beta Phase Four. These campaigns are locked, making them encrypted and hackable if you are not eligible to take part in one of the four campaigns available.
Each of these campaigns begin 5th September at 12:00 and will run for 2 weeks, after which any claimed rewards will be issued and standings will be automatically applied upon the claim deadline passing.
Evepandora admin is now away on a one week holiday while the evepandora system handles tracking kills etc for the 4 campaigns in action.

FINAL BETA: Teething problems fixed
Well....it's been a busy day.
The original first batch of Final Beta Phase 1 campaigns were due to launch last night, however, an issue was picked up late yesterday afternoon causing the database CPU usage to spike to 100%. This was resulting in lock ups in the database and poor performance.
While this issue has been ironed out, we also suffered an Application Pool shut down with our server provider causing 3 hours of downtime this afternoon (eeek!).
Several other teething problems with the big Final Beta Phase 1 release are being fixed as this is typed and several patches to the back-end to help optimise data performance will be patched throughout the evening.
Users can still create their own Supply Missions. While logged in, simply goto Agency > Missions and select Create Supply Mission.
With the patching going on, this does mean that the planned campaign releases are now pushed back to either late tonight or tomorrow morning. We will post an update when released.

FINAL BETA IS GO!
We have now entered the final phase of our Beta testing.
There will be four phases over the course of 3-4 weeks during which content will be released for users to test.
We are currently in Final Beta: Phase 1, of which the purpose is as follows:
A campaign for each of the four main factions in faction warfare will be launched at 20:00 on Sunday 29th August 2021 by evepandora. Those with kills during each of these campaigns against their enemy factions will gain standing with evepandora and will lose standing against those they kill - with the character, their corporation and their alliance if applicable
Member pages will show standings changes

Alliance pages will show standings changes
The isk reward in campaigns and missions should change according to your standing with the issuing agent/agency.
Supply missions can be created by logged in users (via the missions area) provided they meet the following criteria:
- 'evepandora.com' is in your ingame bio and you have either the ingame title 'pandora corporation admin' or 'pandora alliance admin'.
News, Historical entries and After Action reports can be made on your corporation and alliance pages provided users meet the following criteria:

A large number of changes have been made over the past few weeks here at eveandora.com. Here is a full list:
Our ABOUT page now has an FAQ section to help explain the parts of evepandora.com to assist in the user experience. This section will continue to be added to as development continues.
Users now have their own Loyalty Standings with individuals, alliances and corporations. As missions are completed and campaigns claimed, a users standings will increase with these entities depending on whom the mission or campaign was issued by. As your standings increase with one of these entities, so too do your increase in rewards margins. Likewise, your standings will decrease as you fail missions. Your standings will also decrease against entities which your campaigns are against.
You can also see what your standings are for entities that have created a campaign or mission in the mission and campaign listings and in the actual mission or campaign itself.

Users can now create supply missions for themselves or their corporation or alliance. See our FAQ section for further details on how these work.
Corporation and Alliance Administrators
Users can now create News reports, After Action Reports and Historical entries for the corporation or alliance as well as generate campaigns and missions.
News reports, After Action Reports and Historical entries can be created from a users corporation or alliance page.
Campaigns can be created from the Agency Campaign page, likewise, missions can be created from the Agency Missions page.
Users must meet certain ingame titles and criteria to be able to carry out these roles. Please see our FAQ section for more details for each of these.

Due to other planet-side project, evepandora development has been stalled for the past 8 weeks or so - we are now back on with continuing our work.
Over the coming days we will be improving load speed to certain areas by making changes to our data storage.
We will also be testing a number of campaigns for Factions, Alliances and Corporations.
At the same time, we will be giving our members within certain roles the ability to add news to their alliance and corporation pages.

A Big Pause
The last of the current BETA campaigns ends today after which the 3 day claim period kicks in. There will then be a week or so of no BETA campaigns and no BETA missions while work and implementation of the standings system takes place.
There is a lot of testing behind-the-scenes going on right now of supply missions and other types which will be put live on or around 6th February along with full implementation of the standings system and the ability for other corporations and alliance to create their own campaigns and missions.
This will complete Development Phase 3 - the biggest of our BETA development phases.

Recognition System & Changes
While the recognition system is being worked on behind the scenes, some changes are coming which will affect as follows:
Currently, PANDORA is calculating based upon anyone with kills in a campaign for kill campaigns. This means that if a capsuleer has just one kill, they have been recognised as taking part even if they do not know it, meaning that it counts towards them having been on a campaign and towards their total PANDORA kill count, making it unfair in some ways towards those actively using PANDORA. This is being changed so that it ONLY counts these factors IF the capsuleer has claimed rewards in recognition of the fact that they were involved in a campaign.
As missions and campaigns are completed and claimed in this way, the capsuleer PANDORA standings for the issuing corporation or alliance will go up, which also means that rewards will increase over time for a loyal capsuleer. For example a capsuleer that completed a campaign with 10 kills for x corporation may get 10 million isk due to having a starting standing of 0.0 for corporation x. Whereas a capsuleer with a standing of 10.0 with 10 kills might get 20 million isk (example not yet implemented and subject to change).
The standings system will also make special campaigns and missions available to loyal capsuleers which would otherwise not be visible to others with a lower standing.
Each mission or campaign has it's own hidden standings increase for the issuing corporation or alliance to be announced soon™.

Start of Development Phase 3
Here is an update of all of the thingies that went into the most recent update.

Hacking has been added to campaigns and missions (see news piece below for full details.
Corporations and Alliances can now add news articles, After Action Reports and Historical entries to their corporation and alliance areas in Entities. Full details of how to add entries will be given in an update during the week once testing is finished.
A number of other changes have been made to styling, increased performance and improved visuals.
Development Phase 3 is now starting which will see the standings system come into play which will work much like capsuleers having standings with NPC Corporations of New Eden. By running Campaigns and Missions for the creating Entity, your standing will increase with those and with their parent entity. Increasing your standing increases your base rewards for loyalty. More on this soon!
We will also be adding more campaigns and missions during our BETA phase. The two starter BETA campaigns are still active and will end at 12pm 17th January - CASH OUT OR MISS OUT!!

Hacking of campaigns and missions has been implemented. Hacking works as follows:
- Any campaign that is not available to you (you, your corporation, your alliance or your faction) will show as encoded, displaying the campaign title and description/objectives as garbled encoded text,
- You may make a total of 4 attempts to unlock a campaign before you are locked out of making any further hacking attempts for an undetermined time (max 24 hours).
- Unlocking all encoded characters on a campaign will unlock the campaign, making all details publicly visible for all to see.

WE ARE LIVE - BETA TESTING IS GO!
evepandora.com went live just minutes ago. This site is in BETA, purely for testing before completion. This Dev Blog will be updated regularly as content becomes available.
- Campaigns and missions will become available regularly - parties who campaigns and missions are available to will be contacted to be made aware. All campaigns and missions contain rewards which will be paid out even while in BETA! You must claim your rewards to cash out - beware, claims made before a campaign ends means you will miss out on any further rewards you could have made in the time left! You have 3 days to cash out any rewards after a campaign ends.
- You do not need to register for a campaign , PANDORA automatically tracks killmails which qualify for the campaign objectives and compiles them into a leaderboard of capsuleers with kills that meet these objectives. This leaderboard will show on the campaign.
DEVELOPMENT PHASE 2
We are now in Development Phase 2 which will take place over the next two weeks. During which time the following will go live:
- Further missions and campaign types available to different factions/corporations/alliances.
- Campaign encryption and Hacking - Campaigns set as encrypted will be encoded and nonsensical to those who the campaign is not meant for. Users may attempt to hack a campaign to gather data on a campaign and to possibly make a counter campaign on a 100% success. They may even unlock it for all to see. A failed hack will result in no further hack attempts for a 6 hour period.
- Corporation News, AAR and Historical Entries - Users may be able to add to their corporation page News sections, deliver After Action Reports and create Historical entries.
- Alliance News, AAR and Historical Entries - Users may be able to add to their alliance page News sections, deliver After Action Reports and create Historical entries.
- Member participation - show which campaigns and missions a capsuleer has been involved in on their capsuleer page.
- Styling - currently the site only allows 1400px width and upwards before styling goes haywire. This will be fixed for smaller resolutions.
- Faction War Page - Speed up load times.
- Add Regular syncing to EvE API's
